How fast are results returned?

Processing time varies depending on the video’s size, duration, and platform. Short videos and simple requests may finish quickly, while larger or more complex videos naturally take longer. Because each download goes through a full processing pipeline, there is always a short waiting period - even for very small videos.

How does the API work?

API runs on an asynchronous job system to ensure fast, reliable, and scalable processing - even for large videos. You call the /video/download endpoint with the video URL and any custom parameters (quality, format, max duration, audio/video options, and more). You immediately receive a response containing a job_id. This ID lets you track the progress of your download. Or you can poll the job status manually. If you prefer not to use a webhook, you can check the job state at any time using the Job Status endpoint: 'PendingJob' → we’re processing it, 'CompletedJob' → ready to download, 'Error' → video unavailable, private, or restricted

Absolutely. You can fully customize arguments such as download type, quality, duration limit, format, and more.

When are credits deducted?

Every time you receive successful responses to queries, we will deduct credits from your account balance. When your credit balance reaches zero, we will stop accepting new queries.

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial credit purchase unless you have used more than 20% of your credits.

Of course! We are always expanding our code and building new APIs for different search engines. You can create a feature request on our Public Roadmap at https://huntapi.featurebase.app/. We aren't able to build APIs for every search engine for a variety of reasons but we do always make additions where they are needed and able to be done.

Do you charge based on bandwidth or file size?

No. We never charge for bandwidth or video size. One video = x credit, whether it’s 10 MB or 15 GB.
